Please join us in congratulating Gary Stuer, DVM, CVA, CVCHM for achieving his Certification in Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). This comprehensive, innovative course of study encompasses both the art and science of Traditional Chinese Medicine with contemporary, evidence-based, herbal medicine.  Dr. Stuer has been treating patients at Portland Veterinary Specialists since September of 2011, working with referring veterinarians and the PVS team to provide an integrated approach to care.  A wide variety of acute and chronic diseases including arthritis, orthopedic issues, chronic and degenerative inflammatory disease, cancer, digestive issues, neurological challenges, behavior problems, and chronic skin disease respond favorably to acupuncture, herbal supplements and nutrition counseling. Patients experience improved quality of life and increased vitality.  With his expanding expertise in integrative medicine, Dr. Stuer is a trusted resource when you are interested in pursuing avenues for your pet outside the scope of mainstream veterinary care.
